The small print, made simple.

Every section starts with a one-line summary, so you can read the whole thing in about 5 minutes.

About these terms

In short

These terms and your written quote are our agreement. If they ever disagree, the quote wins.

These terms cover the website work Fenrise does for you. Anything that changes the price, the work or the dates must be agreed in writing. An email or text message is fine.

The free mockup

In short

It’s free, and you don’t owe anything if you don’t go ahead.

After our first chat I’ll design one homepage mockup for free. If you decide not to go ahead, you pay nothing. The mockup design stays mine unless we work together.

Price and payment

In short

A fixed written price. Half to start, the rest before your website goes live.

Your quote lists what’s included, the price and the timeline. Work starts once you’ve accepted it and paid the deposit. The balance is due before launch. Invoices are payable within 14 days by bank transfer. I’ll never add costs without asking you first.

What I need from you

In short

Your logo, photos and details, sent in good time.

If things arrive late, the launch date may move. By sending me photos, text or logos, you confirm you’re allowed to use them.

Changes

In short

Two rounds of changes are included. Anything extra is quoted first.

New pages or features not in your quote can be added at an agreed extra cost. I’ll always tell you the price before doing the work.

Launch and after

In short

14 days of free fixes after launch. Ongoing care is optional.

If something I built doesn’t work as agreed, tell me within 14 days of launch and I’ll fix it free. The optional “Looking after it” plan costs £15 a month, covers hosting, security and small changes, and can be cancelled with 30 days’ notice. If you leave, I’ll help move your website.

Who owns what

In short

Once paid in full, the website and domain are yours.

Your domain name is registered in your name. I may show your website as an example of my work, unless you ask me not to.

Cancelling and refunds

In short

Cancel any time. You only pay for work already done.

Let me know in writing. If you cancel before I start, I’ll refund your deposit, minus anything already bought for you, like a domain name.

What I can’t promise

In short

I work with care, but I can’t guarantee Google rankings or sales.

These depend on things outside my control. My total liability is limited to what you paid for the project. Nothing here affects your legal rights.

Your data

In short

I only use your details to talk to you and do the work. Never sold.

I keep your name, contact details and messages for up to 2 years after we last speak, then delete them. Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete them at any time by calling or messaging me on 07756 569385. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

The legal bit

In short

English law applies. If something goes wrong, let’s talk first.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If I update them, the date at the top changes, and your project follows the version you agreed to.

Questions about any of this?

Ask me before you agree to anything. I’ll happily explain any part in plain English.
